What makes Wayne Montessori School a great place?

It could be our outstanding teachers who have more than 50 years of educational experience.

Or maybe it’s the great curriculum.

Of course, the cultural diversity of our students is a great benefit. The support of our committed parents and volunteers doesn’t hurt.

But maybe it’s just because children thrive at our school.

We’re a bit different from traditional schools, and the approach has been very successful for millions of children around the world. We use a teaching method called the Montessori method. This method focuses on the simple fact that children naturally love to learn, and with a little support, they can gain the skills to learn on their own.

Dedicated Teachers

Our accomplished teachers go through training through the American Montessori Society (AMS). Their training involves specialized coursework in child development, language, math, social studies and arts.

Each of our classrooms has one certified AMS teacher and one experienced assistant. The teacher works with children on an individual basis, introduces new materials and gives guidance where needed. One of her primary tasks is careful observation of each child in order to determine the needs for future learning experiences.

"Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into the world."
